Terms and Conditions

1. The ANZ Tech Rocketship Awards 2018-19 (the “Awards”) will showcase the best of Australia and New Zealand technology scale-ups and the structures in place to support the international expansion of these innovative companies to the UK.

2. The Awards are organised by the UK Department for International Trade, Australia and New Zealand.

3. Companies need to meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Awards:

a. Headquartered in Australia and/or New Zealand and have been trading for over 2 years
b. Product or service should have global applicability
c. Ability to demonstrate a genuine interest and ability to establish a presence in the UK within the next 1 to 2 years
d. A completed application form submitted during award nomination dates

4. Nominations for the Awards will begin at 08:00am AEDT on 1 September 2018 and will end at 23:59pm AEDT on 26 November 2018 (“Award Nomination Dates”).

5. Winners will be announced in December 2018.

6. The prize package for each winner includes:

a. A return economy flight to the UK
b. Up to 5 nights accommodation
c. A tailored business programme

7. Only one representative from each company is covered by the prize package. If more than one person from a winning company wishes to join they need to cover all travel, accommodation and additional expenses.

8. Winners will need to cover their own living expenses and other costs associated with the trip which is not part of the prize package.

9. Winners need to be able to travel to the UK for the programme taking place in the week of 18th February 2019.

10. Applicants may only take part in media coverage regarding their participation in the Awards, with prior consent from the Organisers, i.e. UK Department for International Trade (DIT).

11. We will use any personal information submitted in accordance with UK Department for International Trade’s privacy policy.

12. By entering the Awards, applicants also consent to their contact information being shared with the Awards sponsors, Australian British Chamber of Commerce and Grant Thornton Australia.

13. By entering the Awards, applicants understand that their submissions will be reviewed for commercial viability.

14. By entering this Awards, you agree that if you win you will participate in any promotional activities or material, without additional payment or permission, as we may request.

15. We are not liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by you for taking part or not being able to take part in the Awards.

16. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we may alter, amend or cancel the Awards without prior notice.

17. We reserve the right to change these terms at any time.
